time for a change.

10.08.2012

Lately I feel like I've fallen into a rut, and I really don't like it. I feel like (minus my
short bout of carmel-brown hair) that its been basically the same color and length since about 7th grade. I also feel like I've gotten super lazy with my style and I'm not really being me in my clothes. I know none of this really matters in the grand scheme of things. Really, I know that. But still, I'm ready for some things to change.
I guess we'll see what that means.

high-waisted skinnies//forever21
fornarina glitter ankle flats//zappos (old)
Do you ever feel like you're stuck in a rut?
What do you do?

Yup. Been thinking about cutting my hair to an awkward, collar-bone length with lots of layers. But then I see my long hair in the mirror and doubt it... hmm. Can't wait to see what you do! Just remember hair always grows, so you can go crazy with it.

You could always go darker brown again like that one summer... I remember you looked great, but then again you could make green hair look good.
My hair has decided it doesn't really want to get longer then what it is, which of course makes me rather sad because I have always wanted loooong hair. I am learning to accept that my hair's length, and I'm trying to work around that. Since my hair grows insanely slow I don't really plan on cutting it short any time soon because it would probably take the rest of my lifetime to grow it back.
Good luck coming out of your "rut."

definitely know what you mean. i normally go for a hair change, its the cheapest normally and its not always permanent. but i feel the same way right now, so i went for some straight across bangs and im darkening up my hair this week, yahoo!

This is just my opinion. But I think your hair looks FANTASTIC carmel colored. I still remember when you did it. It was so rich, and worked great with your skin tone and eye color, the really really blond washes you out, and I don't mean that bad, because obviously you are gorgeous. I think the long hair is just part of who you are. And your style? Are you joking? At least you get dressed, and you have a darling tiny tiny figure, You can do no wrong :) Remember I even did a post about your hair.

Yep, it's normal to go through changes or be stuck in a rut. No matter what, do what makes you feel pretty inside and out and ask Marcus for his thoughts. He married you so he's sure to have great taste!

My ruts are usually more of a psychological nature since I don't have style/looks to begin with. But I say follow your heart as far as what feels like "you" and if your not afraid of a bit of change, try a different hair cut--see where that takes you. It'll always grow back. :)

i do, and i try a new haircut, though not really daring... and then get back to my natural style. i've neder dyed my hair because i think it's too big a change... and that i'll regret it!
btw, i love this outfit! the blouse is soooooo cute.

At the moment I'm suuuuuuuuuper tired of the look I have.... I want to change my style.... And I really miss being a red head =)))) So I'm still in doubt whether I want to dye my hair or stay like that =))))) still..... some changes are necessary =))) And once I can afford it.... I'll change smth =))

I get that feeling every once in awhile. The thing that helps me is to travel - even if it's just to drive over to the next city. But experiencing new things really takes the edge off for me.

When I'm stuck in a rut, I get a hair cut. It's easy to remember because it rhymes. - Leah
