We camp at the beach near Santa Barbara every week of the 4th. California has fireworks off a barge in the ocean in most seaside cities. If I were you I'd stay with Elizabeth in San Diego and visit the Midway and Seaport Village area. Very patriotic! Have fun.

Being from Southern California, I would warn you not to hit up the beach unless your are in a hotel living right on the beach. The fourth is probably the craziest day of the entire year {besides labor day} to hit up the beach! Granted, there are fireworks on every lake, at Disneyland, and so many fun beach bonfires going on, it's the best :) Just if you guys are thinking the beach, find somewhere that is right near the beach so you don't have to find a parking spot and can just walk there :)
And your outfit is adorable!!! As usual of course :)

This is adorable! What part of Cali? We are going to be in Oceanside. I have never. Been during the fourth but I hear that fireworks on the beach are pretty amazing

I've gone to Huntington Beach for the 4th the last two years. It's fun because I have friends who live walking distance to the beach, but the fireworks always suck. It's always windy and cloudy so you can't see the fireworks and there are a million people.

i would wear that scarf daily..... DAILY! it is fabulous. red, white, and blue is completely classic, you can never go wrong (and patriotism is just an added bonus).

I don't know if it's the time of year, the Olympics coming, or what. But, all I keep wearing, as well, is red, white, and blue. USA. USA.
