where'er the wind takes me.

10.14.2011

I'm here in New Mexico and the weather is crisp and fragrant. A magnificent cocktail of aromas--like heaven and burning rain. I don't know if that is exactly possible, but my senses tell me it is so.
We ride the four-wheelers through the fields, once green, now bitten by frost and golden, and I hold tight knowing I am lucky to feel joy. Life is happy and it is beautiful and while I could go off listing things that are frustrating me at the moment, I'd much rather feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my face. I think I'll count the clouds in the sky and remember the giant silver moon we saw on the horizon yesterday evening.
Those are the things I choose to focus on and that is how I am happy.
I hope you each find your own way, or feel free to borrow mine, and I hope you each remember to be kind and good all your days, because the alternative is so much less appealing.

The moon is amazingly big here as well. Nothing is as awe-inspiring as the night sky in the fall. I love your positivity... positiveness? That's the word apparently.

I love this.  It's easy to forget the beautiful, unique parts of life when we're not specifically looking for them.  This is a great reminder.

Also. Those pictures are amazing.  You are brave, girl!  I don't know if I'd have the guts to get up there.

oh. my. goodness. that top picture is gorgeous!!

this is like my philosophy of life! i know there will never be a moment in my life where there isn't something going wrong or something to worry about or something that bothers me but when i focus on that i forget that there are way more things in my life that are beautiful and so right! and that is no way to live. choose love, light and laughter above all.
