Questions for the Game of Life.

9.27.2011

You know that question that you inevitable have been asked, at a dinner date, on a roadtrip, flipping through the pages of one of my favorite books If... (Questions For The Game of Life)...
You know, the question: if you could have dinner with anyone in the world living or dead, who would it be and why?
See, I knew you knew what I was referring to.
Well, when asked that question, I generally come up with someone deep and influential like Mother Mary (who is apparently partial to Mexico),
credit
charming and hilarious like John Cusack,

or perhaps someone who is a mystery to me like Alan Rickman

But today, my thoughts have changed.
After visiting our condo again this week, I really only have one dinner-date desire. I would love to go out with whoever was the previous owner of our condo. I just really need to know what their deal was with decorative light-covers and what their method was to choosing. Did they have a split-personality or were there many different people with very differing tastes living under this roof together? Perhaps each occupant through the years was supposed to add one--maybe we shouldn't take any down, only add one of our own: It's like a time/personality capsule of all the residents of this particular condo, I don't know, but I would like to.
So, if you happen to recognize all this beauties, then you and I should be in contact soon, I'll even let you pick the restaurant...

Haha, amazing. The only one I'd want is one that says "lumos" and "nox" above and below the switch.

That looks really cool!
Actually I met Alan Rickman once. Well, met is a big word. We were sitting directly behind him during a performance of War Horse in London and the whole first act we were debating whether or not it really was him and then during the interval he got up and we smiled at him and he said hello in that voice of his... Awesome!

they left all those light plates?!  how funny!  we have some in our apartment but they're all made by me and not tacky at all, haha. I would probably keep that floral one though and def. the mirror plate too!

bahahaha! Hey, can you send me that Bison one if you don't want it?? It would go PERFECTLY in my western-themed room. Right next door to the smurf room and the badger room! (Totally kidding!) I bet they collected those when they went different places. Or maybe they just really loooooove light switch plates?!

I cannot believe these are all in your house. It's KIND OF amazing. I'm also loling over your mirrored wall! In my 3-month-long, 25-house search for living quarters my 3rd year of college, we went to a house that had (among other things - like a vinyl sparkling booth, saloon doors, a cedar closet in the middle of the inland empire, and lucite toilet seat covers) a CORK AND MIRROR CHECKERBOARD WALL!

I'm so excited for you & your new endeavor! :) <3
