I feel like there was a period of my life that I could relate to this song perfectly.
I also think it's one of the most genius songs ever written.
I love when songs contain interesting stories.
I'm a lyrics girl for sure.

I love "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service, because not only is it a great song, but my husband played it on the guitar and sang it at a talent show when we first started dating. I'm all about songs that have emotional ties to real life.
North Meets South
i have loads of great memories with this band.
thanks for the reminder!
This has been one of my favorite songs for a few years now, because it's so cute and nice! But my number one song is Top of the World by Carpenters. I've listened to it since I was a just a teeny little girl, and it gives me happy, homey feelings.
I have always loved this song-- especially the girl part.
My song I related to for a long time was "The Nicest Thing" by Kate Nash.
Bekah
Matters of Merrymaking
This is one of my favorite songs ever!
...and I'm a lyrics girl too. :)
Lovely song, I hadn't heard it. I have been wanting to listen to The Postal Service, but I always forget. Stupid.
I love lyrics. Some songs you can listen to without thinking about the text. But mostly, the lyrics make the song. My favorite lyrics are (that I can come up with) Asleep by The Smiths, and Blindness by Metric.
I just got back from the dentist, so the only song I'm thinking about is "Dental Care" by Owl City. :P

you look like Hayden Panettiere :)
I love love love this song. What postal service song does not have amazing lyrics. sigh. Love them all.
Simon and Garfunkel are my favorite. All of their songs are so poetic I love them all. And I love Glen Hansard's lyrics. (Once and the Swell season) - probably the songs that I relate to most right now are lullabies, though, that is where I am at in my life. I love singing my babes sweet little songs, ranging from classic disney songs to the beatles to the velvet underground.
that comment is long!
I love lyrics and unfortunately for my spin classes, love to sing out loud all my favorite lyrics in class . . . with a microphone! A favorite (lyric that is) is "Bang Bang" by K'naan where they sang, "Scorpion, she's so hot she is a Scorchian!" I know, lame, but I love it!
Aww I love the Postal Service! SO many good memories.. driving across San Francisco and into the trees in the Presidio heading for class in ninth grade, goofing around at the beach with a best friend, feeling happy on a rainy foggy day, even how my friend and I were 'hated' in my small school for being "so happy all the time" .. anyway the list goes on! As for fave song.. oof I have not a clue! It's been a while since I've found a very good lyrical one. The past few years I've turned to classical music more often.
If you love lyrics, I recommend looking into Making April - Roses and Butterflies. It's amazing. I love all the lines he comes up with. :)
