A Feeling--Quite Odd.

1.06.2011

After a nearly perfect time in Arizona and a splendidly refreshing stop in Provo, we're back in Rexburg and as much as I dreaded coming back to this ice-infested weather, there's something beautiful about laying in our bed. Under our covers. Listening to our squeaky fan.
We're home.
That's something I never thought I would consider this place. But last night as I snuggled my husband I realized that's what it is.
It's home because we're together doing what we're supposed to be doing. It's our last 4 months of Playland and then we must take the plunge into the land of Reality.
I'm excited and apprehensive and as I type I'm getting teary.
I hope I continue to progress, but honestly, I hope I never really grow up…and right now, I am happy.
Frozen toes and all.

That will be us next week. I am dreading it but I am really excited to have friends again. Our best friends here are the missionaries. Haha PS: I think the place we are going to be living in is really close to you guys' place. :)

I came to the exact realization too. We came back from California and it felt good to be in our tiny apartment even though I never ever consider it home. I'm happy just being a poor married college student:)

Ahwww. Very sweet post, Mz Ash (and also, awesome shot of the mountains in the rear view!) Home is where your heart is, and your heart(your young-at-heart-heart) is with your sweetie, and that is how it should be. You two have many wonderful adventures ahead of you! So fun to see you over the break! Next time you come down we want to take you to Thai food again :)

I have similar feelings. We are in Rexburg and will be moving onto the real world later this year. Can't believe I would call Rexburg my home, it's been a great experience!

I have no idea if this helps...but I recently got a job that is forcing me to switch from keeping "college hours" (going to bed at 2 am and getting up 10 minutes before you first class) to "grown up hours" (getting up at 5:30 every morning)

it's been hard for me to still feel young when I'm looking at my life and seeing that it's becoming quite grow up. but then I remember that at my core I'm still a little girl who loves little girl things, and that has nothing to do with the hours I keep.

if you want to stay grown down forever, you will :-)
