A Pirate's Life for Me???

11.04.2010

I laughed as I read this again. Maybe you will, too.

Journal Entry from Wednesday October 21, 2009:
Dear Betty {this is my journals name},
In Biology today I dissected a squid.
We had to hypothesize about what certain parts of the squid's body were used for/why they were in existence.

My hypothesis was that the spine pen and the internal ink bag were in place so that the Pirates of yesterfar could write love notes to one another while they were out to sea--unable to visit their local stationary supplier.

I don't think this is what my professor was expecting and in turn was utterly confused (but also amused...so that was good).

 Here is how I tested my hypothesis:
Obviously, I was right.

I was pretty pleased with myself as I presented it to Marcus;
I think he just thought it was gross

I'm not sure he gets me, yet.
I suppose I'll give him a break, after all, I am a little different...

Whoa flashback to bio; I remember the squid ink pen!
And I love the idea of writing a note in the ink, even if it does seem a little gross.

That seems super gross, but super funny at the same time. You are different, and I'm glad you are! Because it makes reading your blog AMAZING. For serious.

It's an awesome idea! Who knows - it might be true! Pirates had to write love letters too, right?

Happy weekend!
