{For Fashion's Sake} Saturday: Week Classics

11.13.2010

I love to break the rules of fashion; but there is something wonderful about the classics.
I don't think it can get much more classic than the
tried and true
Yellow Navy Blue color combo.
But if you know me, you know I couldn't stand for complete predictability, so I paired this timeless pallet with
striped trouser-socks for some added spice.

The Breakdown:
Yellow Cardigan: H&M $14
Pearl Earrings: Forever21 $4
Navy & White Striped Shirt: H&M $12
Braided-Leather Belt: Thrifted $1
Navy Pencil Skirt: (Jones of New York) Thrifted (and altered) $4
Striped-Trouser Socks: Urban Outfitters $8
Leather RocketDog Mary-Janes: Nordstroms $65 (?) it's been a long time

This is the first time I've seen the socks with heels trend and liked it! Great job!

I think the socks with shoes trend is deplorably adorable when executed with heels and on young, slender legs like yours.

If thicker legs like mine want to do it, and I don't totally recommend it, they need shorter socks, higher heels, and a lot of confidence.

But like I said on you, deplorably adorable. Maybe I'll live vicariously through Coco on this trend.

Did I tell you I bought her a faux fur wrap? I don't think there are proper letter combination's in the Western alphabet to describe how cute she looks in it. If you can try to plan a trip to AZ around Valentine's Day, we'll provide you and Marcus with a decadent celebration to attend.

I'm not sure, but I think if you "create a link" (under the comment box) then do a post on your blog, it will make a link on my blog. otherwise you can just put it on FB and I'll look and see how cute you are!

i like the socks and heels look, but it just makes me want even higher platform heels. which, if that's the worst of my problems, then it's not so bad.
