back in black

2.24.2014

This weekend started off with a bang when my sister chopped off 14 inches of my hair and restored my blonde per marcus' pleading requests. I'm loving it so far, although, I'm still getting used to seeing my new self in the mirror. I'm sure there will be a bit of a learning curve when it comes to styling it--seeing as I haven't had short hair since i was 8! So feel free to send me any advice if you're an experienced short-haired girl :)
It's definitely a fun change and marcus is making it all the more fun, every time i look at him he's on the verge of giddy laughter, he loves it so much. He makes me feel good. I'm lucky.

Today I'm in bed with a nasty cold--the kind that keeps you up all night. I'm hoping it will pass quickly! I have too many things I want to accomplish this week. Feeling miserable sure is the pits!

Hope you all are well!
p.s. if you haven't already, be sure to get your entries in to win two pair of tights from we love colors! or just read through the comments and get inspired, i loved hearing from all of you!

you look different! but the good kind of different, of course. :)
my boyfriend would actually tease me whe I cut my hair last fall, he'd say I'm less pretty but he loves me anyway. Anyway!!! ha! the good thing about short hair is: I don't have to really take care of it, sometimes I don't brush it, I change the partition all the time, use hair bands in the lower part...

I enjoy rocking short hair. Good advice that my hairstylist gave me when I got a short cut: curl from root to tip. The curls last longer, I think!

LOVE the new hair! you look so fab! I'm growing mine out from a pixie and I'm finally creeping up to that length. my short hair tip is to use a straightener for curls instead of a curling iron. for some reason it just works better and it takes like no time at all.

When you first posted your new 'do I thought to myself, "I think the last time she had her hair this short was when we were achievement days." Well, I guess I was right! Ha!

Love the black on black - i'm always afraid to try it for fear my blacks "don't match" but it looks awesome on everyone else. Thanks for sharing!

I chopped my hair a bit shorter than yours back in August. Bumble and bumble texture cream was the biggest help with my hair! A little spritz of sea salt spray throughout the day helped a lot as well to keep it fun and not looking like a flat mop ;)

Could you tell me what size the jacket is? It looks perfect, but it's hard to tell how it'll fit from the website. Thanks :)
