Fiesta Con Los Amigos

5.07.2012

something you might have noticed about me, is that i'm a big fan of celebrations.
life is too good not to take every opportunity to celebrate the fact that we're here, alive, happy, healthy, and together.

so i was really excited when ted tweeted me, asking if we had any plans for cinco de mayo, because i was literally in bed the night before wondering if it was too late to put something together.
we had a simple potluck style dinner, ted and lauren had a friendly cook-off to see who's (whose?) enchiladas were better--it was a perfect tie if my calculations were correct.
while they were both delicious, i preferred ted's, marcus preferred lauren's--and it went like that around the table.
after dinner, we played with sparklers,
and talked in the living room as marcus comforted ty and sierra's new baby boy through his traumatic mustache experience...
a real winner of an evening.

What did Cinco De Mayo look like at your house?

check out last year's party here.

I get excited when I see a word in Spanish in your blog! hahaha
Well, we don't celebrate it here in Spain 'cause it's Mexican... but Sunday was Mothers' Day and I surprised mine spending the day with her and my dad at home! Saturday was lame, home and studying... so unfair! :(

How fun! Me and Kendall drove to Cali on cinco de mayo for him to meet my family! We had a party at Disneyland. It was so fun! I wish there was more mustache involvement though..

I love your hair Ash, also I am dying over those succulents! Seminole Roots played for possibly the last time together and we celebrated the cinco with an after party at a friends house with some delicious tacos and a superman pinata. It was awesome.

I'm not sure if you're just playing around with the who's/whose conundrum, but as an English teacher I'll just jump in and say whose denotes ownership - whose book, whose home, whose pants, whose cute cactus place markers. Who's is a contraction of "who is". If you're ever in doubt, just read "Who's" as "who is" to check. "We voted on who is enchiladas were the best" doesn't make sense, right? So it's whose. Hope that helps!
