We will return after a short break...

11.10.2011

Hey guys, I'm going to check out for a few days. You see everytime I sit in front of my computer I feel like I'm cheating on my book. I've never been a big reader (and I'm not bragging about that). I've always wanted to be, but it's just not something I ever think to do. But this week, everything has changed.
After a visit to Lauren's she grabbed her Hunger Games series and bid me read them. I had most of the week off from work so I decided I would give it a go. Now I am addicted!
Every spare moment I have, my nose is in that book. I can't get the words in fast enough! It should only take me a few more days to get threw, but I'd rather not have to think about blogging while I finish up.
See you on the flip side.
(and if you have time and haven't read them yet, GET yourself to the library/Amazon/bookstore and let's talk about them when we're done!)

AHH! So glad you're reading it! I think I read it in about 2 days, because I stayed up until 2 a.m., totally unable to stop. I couldn't stop thinking about it; all day at work I would be itching to get back to it. I also had serious dreams about it for several weeks. I am DYING waiting for the movie to come out!

SUCH an amazing series. I bonded with a stranger over our love for the series on the day Mockingjay came out. Enjoy the rest of the series!

Aaah I'm so excited that you're reading it! I love all the books to death. They're probably my favorite ones, and that's saying something as I read a lot. I'm in love with all the characters.

I am so addicted to that series. I try to encourage any of my students who hasn't read it to pick it up immediately.

I think I might be the only one in the world who is soooooo not a fan of the books. I just didn't understand the hype.. I only had about 20 pages left to read of the first one and I didn't feel like finishing it. Haha everyone else seems to enjoy them though. Oh well!

Jessicakutok, you are not the only one. I thought the writing was bad, the editing was atrocious, the character names were silly, and the ending was ridiculously hokey. Not as bad as Twilight, but pretty darn close, and that's saying something. I finished the first but had no desire to continue with the series. I don't quite understand the hype either.

AMAZING BOOKS. Seriously they are so good. I stopped living and just read them when I discovered them. It took me three days to read them, three week days, and I was working. I did regret it when I finished though. I flew through them so fast and I never stopped to savor the "I'm reading a good book" feeling. Anyway, enjoy.

I'm a recent follower! I love your blog : ) Just wanted to reiterate to anyone who happens to read my comment who didn't understand how crucial it is to read the Hunger Games series - it is amazing. You will most likely dream about it. And you won't be able to put it down. I read the last two books within a couple days of each other.

YESSSSSSSSSS. These books are amazing. My boyfriend made me read them thinking I would like them. I didn't think I would but, yes, oh my goodness, my nose was buried as well. :)

Those books are the all-consuming type... you just can't put them down. I devoured all three in 3 weeks. 1 per week. Previously, my books have been 6 months per book, but I just got so involved in these ones I couldn't stop reading.

Oh my goodness.  I just had a serious talk with my mom about reading these books.  they are soo good.  polished them (first 2) off on my week long vaca in june.  love your blog ) so cute.

I love these books (the hubs and I are reading them right now) except they're so sad that I feel all down and stressed out after I read them haha! But the story is too good to stop.  So I just have to read them and then eat ice cream to make me happy again. Problem solved ;)
