If you hate photo overloads, you may just want to avoid my blog for the rest of the week.
The Golden State was just too full of beautiful places, and we took full advantage of that on our last day in the state.
Here is the first installment of BeautifulCalifornia:
This was my outfit before South Coast Plaza happened.
And H&M and Banana Republic Sale Rack murdered my savings account!
If I lived in California, I am scared I might starve, because all my moneys would be eaten up by the mall monster. So be it, let me starve!
When we got to the car, I made a quick wardrobe change in preparation for pictures at Balboa Island.
Southern California Readers,
Did you see me in my skivvies??? I wasn't very good at hiding, so um, let's just pretend that didn't happen...

What's Your Favorite Thing About California?

I am actually from Laguna Beach, so my favorite thing definitely is the shopping and complete diversity of food. Living in Idaho really makes you appreciate going to Irvine and eating real Asian food!
Ashley you are so freaking cute I can never get over it! My favorite thing about California is the sea lions on the beach at La Jolla. I could sit and look at them all day, they're sooo cute!!
i just got so jealous of your H&M spree until i realized that there are H&Ms on every corner here and i, too, can have one any day of the week. but still....jealous.
Great photos! Looks a bit overcast at the beach--that's typical though, lol. My favorite part about California is the desert! I am in love with Joshua Tree National Park--wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world...unless I could visit another desert, lol.
what beautiful background in that first photo!

San Francisco! I live in Sacramento, not far away, and I love going to "The City" for a quick get-a-way, shopping spree, sight-seeing trek, etc. The food is fabulous, the personalities are fabulous, the scenery is fabulous. California has it all! I'm a native and wouldn't dream of living anywhere else!
oh how fun! that's how i felt when i lived in downtown chicago - it was baaaaad. i had the mentality that sometimes i'd spend more money on things than food. but then itd bite me back cuz then i like food a lot and don't last long with out it. hehe.
love these photos!
I've never been there :( but I will one day! :)
i am a fan of photo overloads!
i love the salty breeze and easy goin feel of life, hearing the crashing of the waves & the perfect temps make me happy.
cheers! jessica
California is a beautiful State. With lots of different landscapes. I loved Yosemite Valley and San Francisco (maybe after Paris, the best city I have ever visited) and of course the beaches! Nice place, I wish I could visit again sometime.
Ashley, the pictures are great. I like the one inside the car.
I recently moved from a small city in southern Utah where the closest tiny mall was an hour away, to a big city right outside of San Francisco....ya, talk about squandering my money. I feel your pain! My self control is just not up to snuff when put to the temptation of the best shopping ever.
It's home <3
I've never been to California (unless you count a long layover in LAX), but your photos definitely make me want to visit. :)
i have been a few times for various reasons..but the last time was my favorite. a short but sweet trip. I loved LaJolla beach...i got to see where my dad grew up. the water and the sand was his playground. I hope to go back very very soon!

Aw, South Coast, I try not to go there. It is dangerous.
Glad you like my state so much... I think I live in paradise
hello gorgeous ferris wheel picture. gosh i wish i was in cali right this second.
I love Old Town in San Diego and the beach :) Awesome pictures, by the way!!
One of my absolute favorites is Belmont Park in San Diego! I love the roller coaster and the boardwalk all lit up at night! Such a 50s/60s feel! But maybe I'm biased because I live in San Diego...
i went to california on my honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. we stayed in san francisco for the most part, and that city converted me to leaving the canadian cold and relocating to warmer winds!
I so want to fly to America and go to California, right now.

My favorite thing about California is the best band ever to come out of the 90's: Eve 6!
