A Little Piece of Home...

3.09.2011

Do you want to know why I’m so happy today?
It’s because today it’s 38 degrees outside.
Which is practically 40 degrees.
Which is only 10 degrees away from 50 degrees.
Which might as well be 60 degrees.
Which is pretty darn close to 70 degrees.
Which is only 5 degrees less than 75 degrees.
Which is obviously my favorite temperature.

So what I’m trying to say, is that it's basically 75 degrees up here in Rexburg and that, my friends, is something to be happy about.
Believe, you, me!
In honor of such dreamy weather, I would like to show you the special package that arrived in my mailbox this weekend from my new friends at Saylor Rose.
Isn’t it great?
It’s like having a bit of home with you all the time.
And luckily for you, they have all the states, so you don’t have to go around sporting Arizona if you’re really from Connecticut, but Arizona IS pretty cool, so I wouldn’t blame you if you did…
it's a necklace, but I decided to wear it as a bracelet today...
Anyway, you should go check out their sight, even if you’re not interested in showing your state pride, they have tons of DARLING jewelry to gawk at.

What's Your Ideal Temperature?

That's so funny to me! I hardly ever have to worry about temps that cold, and for that I know I'm lucky :p Florida weather definitely has me spoiled. And I LOOOOVElovelovelove that dreamcatcher necklace...I might just have to try to make one..I've been wanting one for a while. Have a lovely, almost 75 degree, day!

This reminds me of Jessica Simpson when she said her 23rd birthday was practically her 30th. Come to Las Vegas, it's 75 here, but I don't get excited for anything less than 80!

I admire your positive attitude towards the weather... I just can't find it in my heart to forgive Utah for its dark, cold, bleak winters. I am in love with that states necklace!

That's my method of counting :) Like today! My boyfriend has 9 months left on his mission. And with school and everything, by the time I have time for anything, school will be over! And only 6 months left! And summer flies by anyways, and so does football season, so pretty much he's coming home this week, right? :D Hahaha!

What a pretty AZ charm! Maybe it will bring some warmth to Idaho and Utah!

Cute jewelry idea.

Also, I am totally with you... 38 degrees makes me inordinately happy because it suddenly is practically spring in my mind! I am going to be in for a shock if we get some more snow, but hopefully, the weather will be nice to me and just continue to warm up for the next few months :)

After all this cold 38 sure does sound nice! We're supposed to get up to 44 today!

That's a beautiful charm although Arizona has a much more interesting shape than Wyoming. :)

Wowww, you manage to look so good when it's so cold! Like the previous comment about FL, CA has got me spoiled. :3 But seriously, love the outfit and love your optimism. :)

I love your temperature rounding! Right now 50 sounds absolutely amazing, but if I was going to get really greedy, I'd say a perfect sunny 75 :)

Love the denim on demin on you!

My favorite temperature is anything over 60. But the perfect one is probably like 77.

Ha, I think every time I comment I'm saying something about my best friend that goes to BYU-I, but it's just because when you talk about Rexburg she has usually said the same thing!

A few days ago she called me and said they had all of their windows open and she was wearing short sleeves because it was 40 degrees.

Insane.

It's a sunny 74 today here in California! Sorry Ashley. I'll soak in some rays and music notes in SF with Joshua Radin and I'll will them in your direction.

I have several fave temperatures.

If I'm swimming, I like it to be bloody hot. If I'm outdoors, not swimming, I like it to be in the 70s. If I'm staying indoors all day, I like it to be cold and stormy. If only I could figure out how to change the weather to my temperature settings, it would be heaven indeed.

You are my new favourite blog!! I was inspired by your theory of why you have so much good luck and actually blogged about it a few days ago (of course I gave you credit for it :)). Just wanted to pop by and say hi, and let you know that reading your blog always makes me smile!

you lucky duck! it is practically warm for you.
Ah Arizona. Sometimes I lay down in front of our heater when it's really cold at night and close my eyes. I like to pretend I'm in the warm sun on the lake or just sitting in the grass enjoying the heat in my blood.

It's pathetic I know, but you can relate right? I mean, we're not meant for this cold weather stuff!

I totally know how you feel! I live in Flagstaff, AZ, which is pretty much a windy Alaska and it has been freezing! I went to Phoenix this weekend and it was pure bliss. I even got sunburned and I was happy!
