Judging solely on the title of this post, you're probably expecting a story about something scandalous...
Turns out that's just how you spell six in Icelandic.
Phew! That was going to get awkward, fast.
really strange lighting...
This weekend I found our little point-and-shoot camera that we hardly ever use and these are the memories it held:
Long time ago, our friend Blake (who served a 2-year mission in Japan) invited us to a Make Your Own Sushi party. It was DIVINE! Once I saw these pictures I begged Marcus to take me to eat sushi. He did and I love him for it! But honestly, it wasn't as good as the sushi we made ourselves at the afore mentioned party.
Hey Blake, feel free to invite us over again sometime...:)
He is also the talented photographer who took our Great Gatsby photos:
This pictures is from a few weeks ago when we went to Lava Hot Springs, also known as pure bliss.
Jenny, can we go back soon, PLEASE??
What's Your Favorite Sushi Place and
What Kind Do You Like?
My favorite is the boring old California Roll, but this weekend I ate raw salmon and fish eggs just to appease Marcus--the things I do for him...

Those red pants are amazing! I love to try all the crazy specialty rolls. Once, I ate a roll topped with gold leaf. It was delish, and even better, free.

I have actually never had sushi. I'm terrified! What would you recommend to start with?

Dang it, I was really hoping you'd be getting scandalous on this blog. Oh well, maybe next time.

Matt and I's favorite sushi place is in AZ called Sushi Ken - you gotta go when you come back! It's definitely one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants around. (And we can say that because Matt served in Japan. And well, I'm Asian so I have credibility, right?) My favorite sushi is the nigiri sushi, which is basically a slab of fish on a block of rice. Salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. I'm not really a fan of rolls for some reason.

California rolls are my favorite, too! When we first got married, it made me laugh that Richie didn't like fish cooked, only raw! I don't do the real raw stuff.

And LOVE the dahlia. Sehr Nett!

Mikuni in Nor Cal. Once you have sushi there you will never be able to have it anywhere else. I like anything spicy.

I LOVE Lava hot spring, and I LOVE sushi, and I LOVE your red pants. And while I am listing all the things I love that are going on here I might as well tell you that my fav sushi is the golden california roll. I is just like a regular california roll but wrapped in salmon and deep fried. What's not to love??? Mmmmmm.

Also, it needs to be noted especially since we are talking about sushi that my word verification word is "mulan." Coincidence? I think NOT.

1)I love the flower you're wearing!
2)That Great Gatsby photo is magnificent.
3)The best sushi I have ever had was a mango avocado cream cheese roll. Sounds totally weird, but it was so totally amazing!

I love the California roll! I think it is divine. I have had many others but fish eggs are the creepiest to me... I could feel them popping in my mouth and (while I can understand that the texture and sensation is unique and interesting) it just made me feel kind of sick.

Oh and I love the light in that first picture. It is kind of eerie but very beautiful.

you really really need to try benja's in st. george utah. it is fantastic. the Mr. Burk roll is my favorite but it's not on the menu! its shrimp tempura and cream cheese. aand, cream cheese just makes everything better, you know? :) their curry and their drunken noodles are also great if you like thai food! (its kinda spicy)
