Note to Self

11.12.2010

Dear Self,
What I am about to tell is going to be sad. It will probably make you cry a little bit. You will not want to believe it, and even with the awarenss of it's truth, you will probably rebel sometimes; but I know you more than you can imagine, and I know that you will always regret your rebellious attitude. Always. Brace yourself, because here it comes: You are lactose-intolerant. Milkshakes will always make your tummy hurt.
Stop eating them. I'm serious.
Love, Me

We just put The Baron on an enzyme therapy with a broad based enzyme called "Lacto". If you don't have the enzyme already in ya, you can take some! Try it when you come to visit and see if it helps :)

Try Hemp ice cream. I hear it's divine compared to other alternatives.

Aww.. i thought it to be a letter to myself because it's the truth! but don't you like that little bit of rebel feeling when knowing you're eating the delicious poison? I'm thankful for frozen yogurt and it's friendship with my tummy :)

i'm lactose intolerant, too! you can still enjoy dairy if you take lactase enzyme (brand name lactaid, among many others). for me, though, even when i take lactaid, i still can't drink milk. they do make lactaid milk and soy milk is good, too (it's lactose-free)!
