this weekend was weird and fun and sort of a blur. as weekends should be--i declare.
my friend, turned niece, jamie, throw the cutest cinco de mayo party and we had so much fun eating mexican food and talking with new friends--i'll share some photos from that a little later, believe me, you'll want to see (and pin!) it was gorgeous.

sunday, i slept in, ate some breakfast, took a nap! and then went to church, where all the ladies got flowers and cupcakes--what fun!
after church all the men the family prepared all the women a mother's day dinner, which we ate outside because it was too beautiful not to.

sometimes weekends go by so fast, you can't remember a single thing you did--that's how i felt about this weekend, so it felt good to write it all out, to confirm, things did happen--it did exist.

Four day weekends really take the cake for best things to happen in America in a while--I must say.

We accomplished so much, while still having just the right amount of lazy time and pie intake.

Marcus' parents left for their mission to London, England on Saturday, so almost everyone came into town to say goodbye and celebrate both Thanksgiving and a mini-Christmas before they left. 

I'm really lucky to have married into such an awesome family. I really like spending time with them all.

On top of all the family time, we finally got our water-heater installed--HALLELUJAH! (thank you Jay! He's the best brother in law!) And we got a bunch of plants to go in our planter beds! Plus we cleaned the house--because we actually wanted to! 

How do we vote 4-Day weekends into office? I want them to be my president.

I just got back from a delicious meal at Andrew and Reachel's house. 

Have you guys seen Parenthood (it's on Netflix)? They had mentioned liking it a few weeks ago, so I decided to check it out while Poppy took naps on my chest, and I am officially obsessed. It has inspired us all to just spend more time hanging out with our siblings. 

What are your thoughts on it, if you're a watcher?

dinner at another favorite, la grande orange and a movie with ty, sierra, ted, and lauren.

especially loving these tights/ trying to come up with as many ways as i can wear green and red together this season.

I also wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes after the flood in our house. It made me so happy to know there were people praying for us and thinking about us. We're getting things fixed up and it's not going to be as expensive as we had originally thought, so that's a huge blessing. life is good. 

How's everything going for you? I'm starting to really stress about how soon Christmas is and how Marcus has like two things on his amazon wishlist: a $7 screwdriver and a $800 camera lense. So ya...not sure what to do about that one...Enjoy the Season!
